Does this sound familiar?
Recognition first. Explanation second.
These patterns didn’t come from nowhere
Maybe overthinking helped you feel prepared.
Maybe being easygoing, helpful, or agreeable helped you keep the peace.
Maybe pushing yourself made you feel safer than slowing down ever could.
These patterns may have made sense at one point. But that doesn't mean you have to keep living inside them.
Therapy can help you understand what you've been carrying, notice what is no longer working, and practice responding to your life in a different way.
Imagine if…
✓ You could make a decision without asking five people what they think.
✓ You could say no without spending the rest of the day feeling guilty.
✓ You could rest without first proving you've done enough.
✓ You could let someone be disappointed without assuming you did something wrong.
Therapy won't remove every uncomfortable feeling. But it can help you stop organizing your life around avoiding them.
How I Can Help
You don't have to have it all figured out.
Even if your mind won't stop racing. Even if calm feels like a foreign language.
Even if your experiences still feel heavy. Even if you've spent years pushing them away.
Even if you've talked about it before. Even if it still feels stuck.
Even if your faith feels distant. Even if you're not sure what you believe anymore.
Even if church was the place that wounded you. Even if you don't know what to call it yet.
I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor offering in-person therapy in Burbank and online therapy for women across California. I draw from EMDR, IFS, CBT, and mind-body approaches, and for clients who want it, I also bring faith into the work.
I help women who are struggling with anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and the lasting effects of difficult experiences.
I don't believe you're broken. I believe many of the patterns you're struggling with today developed for a reason.
Together, we'll work to understand those patterns with compassion, build on your strengths, and help you move toward meaningful and lasting change.

Hi, I’m Kellie!
THERAPIST IN BURBANK, CA
A few questions before we begin
-
We start with a free 15-minute consultation — just a conversation about what's bringing you in and whether we're a good fit. No pressure, no commitment. If we move forward, sessions are 55 minutes, just you and me, in my Burbank office or online. You talk, I listen, and together we start untangling what's been weighing on you.
-
Then you say that. "I don't know what to say" is a perfectly good starting point — honestly, it's one of the most honest things you can say in therapy. You don't need an agenda or the right words. Part of my job is helping you find them.
-
No. If something's weighing on you, that's enough. You don't need a crisis or a diagnosis to deserve support. A lot of the women I work with spent years telling themselves they were fine — until they weren't. You don't have to wait until you're not fine.
-
Maybe. Every therapist works differently, and fit matters more than most people realize. I draw from EMDR, IFS, and mind-body approaches — not just talk therapy. If what you tried before felt like going in circles, this might feel different. The consultation is a good place to figure that out together.
-
Then you'll cry, and that's completely fine here. A lot of people do — usually because it's the first time they've said some of this out loud. You don't have to apologize for it or hold it together. Tissues are right there, and there's no rush.
-
Yes — what you share here stays here. That's the foundation of this work. There are a few exceptions where I'm legally required to break confidentiality: if you're at risk of seriously harming yourself or someone else, or if I learn of abuse of a child, elder, or dependent adult. Those are rare, and if one ever came up, I'd tell you exactly what I have to share and why. Everything else is yours.
You Don't Have to Do This Alone
Even if reaching out feels uncomfortable.
Even if you've been carrying this for a long time.
Even if you're not sure where to start.
You don't have to have it all figured out before beginning.
I'd be honored to walk alongside you as you move toward greater healing, self-understanding, and growth.
